Well I can't quite believe that we're about to say farewell to 2014, seriously where has this year gone? We celebrated our first Birthday, said hello to lots of new members and a few goodbyes to old ones, hosted three Bath:Hacked hacks and a BathSPARK social.  We made some changes to the design of the hub, namely the Front room and celebrated both Canada Day and the Fourth of July.

Fourth of July celebrations which included bagels, hot dogs and american football on the wii

Canada Day - cupcakes were provided by Guild member Jessica Boston and we enjoyed Root Beer and pancakes with maple syrup!

Jack McConnell "Highlights for me [this year] are working on the Peter Gabriel website, Bath:Hacked and getting married! Next year, I'm hoping to give back to the WordPress community and land my third 'over-a-million-site-hits-a-month' client.

Will Sansom "Stoked to have found the Guild this year. Centre of innovation for tech, creatives and start ups in the West Country. The Bath:Hacked events highlighted how much talent there is under one roof. Roll on 2015!"

Our front room 2014 - we changed the lighting, moved the sofa and added workspace to allow members and visitors to enjoy a coffee shop environment here at The Guild. The front also plays host to a number of free socials including the Film and Video Meetup, Designers meetup, Dyslexic Adult, Bath Jelly and Jo Emerson's lunchtime Food for Thought.

Imogen Woodford "The social media school has been a great highlight for me this year, it all started here at the Guild in January"

BathSPARK held their Spring social at The Guild way back in February this year, we opened the doors to approx. 150 people, there was networking, and expo showcasing the talents of local Bath businesses and the launch of Fusion wifi here at the Guild.

Simon Starr "My highlights this year have been switching from freelancing to working full time on two startups, Cahootify and Mystery Applicant, travelling to conferences in Sweden, Belgium and Spain in the name of 'research' for Bath Ruby, the many successes of Bath:Hacked & seeing Chris Hadfield's talk at The Forum last week. Next year is all about launching Cahootify 2.0, growing Mystery Applicant, making Bath Ruby Conference (the UK's biggest Ruby conference!) a success & hopefully being able to take a bit more time off"

This year we also got involved with Bath:Hacked with three hacks taking place (March, September and November) In March we welcomed 60 devs to the Guild for the full 48hr hack, September was the Air Quality Hack which took place over a Saturday and most recently we had Bath:Hacked 2.1 which again took place over an entire weekend. Tatjana Humphries "My highlight of 2014 has been getting involved in some great events here in the SW, Bath:Hacked and the SPARKies! Getting my bebod I'm also chuffed that Lewis Hamilton was World Champion. Next year I'm looking forward to all the amazing events and workshops we have on here at The Guild, including Gaming Guild and the return of tech coffee mornings."

During the summer we held member lunch time picnics...look at all that food!

Vicky Edwards "My first book!"
